Renaissance masters head to National Gallery of Australia in 2011-12

The National Gallery of Australia is set to welcome Renaissance: 15th and 16th century Italian paintings from Accademia Carrara, Bergamo, the first ever exhibition in Australia dedicated to Renaissance paintings. Opening on 9 December 2011 and running until 9 April 2012, the exhibition will feature touching depictions of the Madonna and Child, moving portrayals of the Crucifixion and portraits of Italian nobles, plus works by artists such as Raphael, Botticelli, Bellini and more.
